Suyeon Jung has assisted Tae Il Kwon in most of the prominent cases at Kwon & Co. and has received good outcomes since she started working with Tae Il Kwon from 2014.
Having lived in the United States for 4 years, she has excellent command of English which is very helpful in providing legal opinions to foreign clients of Kwon & Co. which comprises about 80% of Kwon & Co.’s work.
Ms Jung has been especially accumulating huge volume of experience in various issues on the vessel crew/stevedores, especially regarding work related and non-work related disease concerning Korean Seafarers’ Act. She has also dealt with numerous vessel arrest cases in Korea; based on her professional and prompt response to the cases, she has never failed in arresting or releasing the vessels so far since her years in Kwon & Moon.
She has also worked with many Hanjin Shipping bankruptcy cases representing Hanjin Shipping’s creditors; by assisting Tae Il Kwon, Kwon & Co. has received very good outcomes in retrieving foundation claims regarding time-charterparties.
She has successfully finished the LL.M course specializing in International Shipping at Queen Mary University of London with merits in the UK, and became partner of

Evangeline Jiyoung Bang provides legal advice and handles litigation/arbitration cases in the maritime and insurance field.
She has achieved good results representing major shipping companies in container demurrage disputes, and successfully overturned a case regarding the application of the short time-bar under the Korean Commercial Code which was under controversy due to its disadvantage to carriers.
Ms. Bang is actively involved in various maritime cases such as casualty, charterparty and bill of lading disputes, cargo claims, crew claims and ship arrest.
